Remind me that I don't like to smoke anymore. Even if I think 'Oh, I've had a drink, a ciggie would be OK', no, it's not. Bleck. Yuck. I'm afraid I am becoming an ex-smoker. Sorry and all that.

No, it leaves a disgusting taste in your mouth and holes in your pockets. You can't buy incense if you've already bought fags. You don't want to give the little babies the wrong impression, now do you?

I don't buy incense, it's a bit too dusty. ;-)

The little babies were the most critical of smoking, they could be quite strident about it, the sods.

Oh yes, nice icon. :-)

D'you know, one of my listed reasons for wanting to stop was that I know you and the tobacco don't get on so well and it'd be nice to meet you at some point, and for you not to run off screaming cos I'm a tobacco fiend. ;-)

As it happened though all it took was a nasty chest infection to get me to stop - literally couldn't smoke through that, then seized the opportunity while it was there. I'm quite relieved to know that even if I do succumb at a party or whatever I am not likely to start smoking again.

Och shucks...

Hey! I could add that to my CV maybe? "Listed as a reason for giving up smoking" ?

Glad to have been of help. :)

Funny you should say that a chest infection did it for you though. I know a few folk that, say, had flu and then found they were off the fags as they'd had a week or so forced abstinence.

Seems a bit drastic though.

Hehe. Feel free. :-)

Seems a bit drastic though.

It is a bit, but hey, since I had the horrible wheeze and complete inability to eat or breathe I thought I may as well. ;-) I have heard that it takes two days to break the nicotine addiction. The rest is habit and I honestly thought that was the hard bit to break but without the nicotine input that fell to pieces really quickly. I'd like to claim it was a struggle and that I was heroic but it wasn't and neither was I. ;-)

Good for you, it's a horrible habit.

Thank you, I am afraid however that being told it's a filthy habit increases my urge to smoke, possibly because I am contrary like that. ;-/ I won't because I don't like cigarettes now, but I think I will have to remind myself quite a bit.
